PLAN

 I am going to investigate all three factors in what I think affect the resistance of a wire.

 For the thickness test I will get 2 different thicknesses of nichrome, and they will be 10cm each. One of the nichrome wires will be 32 s.w.g. (Standard wire gauge), and 26 s.w.g. These are about 0.28mm wide for 32 s.w.g. And about 0.45mm wide for 26 s.w.g. As you can see the higher the s.w.g. The thinner the wire. For this and all other tests I will use 5 volts. I will use the voltage readings from the voltmeter, not the battery pack.

I will need:

• Ammeter,
• 32 s.w.g. nichrome wire (10cm)
• 26 s.w.g. nichrome wire (10cm)
• 4 normal wires,
• 2 crocodile clips,
• Voltmeter,
• Battery pack,

set the circuit up as so: 

For the length test I will need:

• Battery pack,
• Volt meter,
• Ammeter,
• 2 Crocodile clips,
• 4 normal wires,
• 5cm nichrome wires,
• 10cm nichrome wires,
• 15cm nichrome wires,

set the circuit up as so: 

• Battery pack,
• Voltmeter,
• Ammeter,
• 2 Crocodile clips,
• 4 normal wires,
• 0.45mm (26 s.w.g.) copper wire,
• 0.45mm (26 s.w.g.) Nichrome wire,
